* The Turning *
Jennifer Armintrout’s The Turning
Compelling, heart wrenching, painfully surprising, and feral!
…
I could not put this down and found myself drowning (happily) into every page! So the story begins with a successful doctor whose world is turned upside down with the unusual death of a patient who she cannot save. From there on, her life unravels and she then is able to fully put her life into perspective and truly know, in her heart, what her passion is.
I was so into this book and felt like I am now part of the characters’ world and in their minds. This was mind blowing and it’s only book one! There’s three more after this and I cannot wait to ’sink my teeth’ into the next book. Wowwwwww! It began effortlessly and ended before I knew it.

Pg. 58 – ‘I heard heartbeats, coughing and quiet moans. The smell of fear in the room was as thick as the unmistakable odor of hopelessness. ‘
Pg. 162 – ‘The expression of his face was nothing if not heartbreaking. I felt my heart fly apart like a body hitting the sidewalk from forty stories above. ‘
Pg. 359 ‘It was too much to fight both the hunger and the will of his sire…i’m sorry. I’m so sorry. ‘
